Imagine…the perfect 3-in-1 beauty elixir. An enviable French red pout. Allover highlighter sticks and easy-to-use eye paints in dazzling hues. These are just a few of the incredibly glamorous new products from French born, Brooklyn based make-up artist, Violette. Her eponymous brand, Violette_FR has taken the beauty industry by storm and with only six (!) products for sale, I had to see what all the buzz was about.

Let’s start with this magical, milky mist. Described as “a minimalist’s dream skincare routine— this 3-in-1 spray is a toner, serum, and moisturizer in a bottle. The one-of-a-kind probiotic-based solution delivers rebalancing, hydrating, and soothing effects on skin for muse-worthy appeal.”

Boum Boum Milk was created by Violette and her dermatoligist because she wanted one product to replace her entire skin care routine. It is anti-inflammatory, uses safe ingredients, plus, it’s affordable. At only $58 for what could potentially cost 3x as a much, you’re really getting a bang for your buck.

I use this mist before, after and during my make-up routine. I watched a few Violette_FR youtube tutorials and starting doing a few sprays in my hair, resulting in an effortless beach wave that’s been getting tons of compliments. I even use a little on my elbows and hands as a midday moisturizer. If you’re going to get one thing from this brand—this is it.

Every make-up lover’s journey begins with discovering the perfect red lip. With Petal Bouche Matte, Violette has created a formula that is super easy to apply and packs a major punch with its pigment. Start with one layer—seriously, it’s super pigmented. If you want to deepen the look, add a few layers, but only if you’re feeling daring! I mentioned Violette’s YouTube channel before, but it’s worth repeating because she offers so many tricks and tips to applying her products. She did an especially helpful video about creating an ombre look with this product. I wore this underneath my mask the other day and I’m happy to report that it passed the transfer test—not a hint of red on the inside of my mask!

I know I said the Boum Boum Milk is the one product to buy from this brand, but the Yeux Paints are my personal favorites. I wore the twinkling blue shade as a thick eyeliner to work the other day and I have seriously never received more compliments on my make-up in my entire life. I also love the sparkly pink hue, because it goes well with a lot of my go-to eyeshadow shades, adding a really fun flair to my every day routine. The applicator is like a lipgloss pad and applies a ton of pigment in a single swipe.

I waffled with my decision to buy the Baume Shine highlighter, wondering if I needed to add $25 more worth of products from a brand I’ve never tried. I’m SO glad I went through with my purchase! This is a fantastic product. It is the most dewy, natural looking highlighter I’ve ever used. I use it in combination with a bronzer stick from Milk and it looks like I just got back from vacation. Use this on the corners of your eyes for a fresh, just came back from a spa appearance.
